The guys didn't seem that into the guest. Subaru did have his moments, especially when she was doing some exercises. He also had this real cute look on his face after he said HM.

The real hit was Leah Dizon. Yoko admitted on the radio that after meeting her he thought she was cute and that he wanted to protect her. Having seen pictures of Leah Dizon I didn't think much of her. ANd whe she first came on the show, I was kinda eh. But she can be pretty cute. And the boys totally loved her. She said she liked kansai ben and they all freaked. Yoko asked her what Japanese music she liked, and she said Kanjanisan. They asked her for real, and she said she bought Kanfuu Fighting. Yoko asked her why. She even did a small bit of the dance.

She said she was lonely in Japan, and that she had no friends. Yoko said "sugu friend!" Ohkura showed her this little stress thing, and then sang into it. She did the same with a little line from Kanfuu Fighting. At one part she was doing a massaage and looking at Yoko and Ryo got all jealous. At another point the translator said "yeah" so Yoko said it too. She called Yoko's English cute!! I think she may have even liked Yoko a little!

Yoko was really high tension and cute through the whole thing! He kept calling her cute. And the boys were so fighting over her. It was so much better than I thought it would be. And his laugh! I love his laugh!

Subaru was a little cracked out with the regular guest though, especially after the Leah Dizon bit.

SukaJ ramblings:

  • I like Impact on Shojiki Shindoi, so I was looking forward to this episode.

  • I like how they started talking about one of Impact as being "small." I am surprised Yoko didn't take this opportunity to bring up Ryo, again, like he likes to.

  • Ryo, Ohkura and Yoko went off to look at restaurants that foreigners have been to. They went to a Brazilian palce that the soceer player Ronaldhino has been to. Ryo was adorable there. They also ate at a Korean place. Finally, they stopped at a sushi restaurant that some Hollywood stars have visited. On a side note I watched the episode of Smap Smap with Cameron Diaz last night, so yay. Anyway - Yoko was so much better about his eating and commenting. He actually ate like a normal person, and his comments were descriptive. Yay for Yoko!

  • The "nani ga deru" is still ADORABLE! Maru likes to make weird faces during that part. But Yoko!

  • Next week's guest will be Leah Dizon - that model that Ryo likes.

I had planned to post a scan but my server is being dumb.

They spelled Bravo wrong on SukaJ. They spelled it as Brabo. I am sure they misspelled some other things but there is only so much time to be confused over brabo.

Also - could Yoko be even more interested in girl's boobs? He also gave such an idol answer about what kind of girl he likes - he said he likes slender and heavier girls. Ohkura said slender and Hina said heavier.

The guests's dance was hilarious!

Expect some scans tomorrow. I scanned the Coward book for [info]noesunexito

Random notes:

  • Yoko is wearing a lot of lip gloss or whatever. It just draws my attention to his lips even more. I don't like his shirt (its the same one from last week).

  • I like how you can easily see that Subs is wearing Shota's bracelet.

  • What was up with that drunk story Yoko told at the beginning?

  • Maru's monkey face was really cute!

  • The way that Yoko grabbed Maru's head to smell him was very doki-doki.

  • Ummm...... was it just me or did the okonomiyaki look like it had a penis on top?

  • Subs during the hips segment was OMG good lord that boy has some sexy hips. Yasu wasn't bad (the little we saw of him). And of course Yoko just looked lost.

  • Yoko, Ohkura and Maru looked at Mote House (fashionable houses). Ohkura was complaining about one of the prices and kept saying it was expensive.

  • I love the way Yoko gets all excited about the gacha-gacha talk. And his "na-ni ga deru" is too cute.

  • He is even cuter when the guest says they like him. This is the second time it has happened in what three weeks? two weeks?

  • Hina pretending to kiss the camera was .... not that cute. It was too fast or something.

  • I swear Yoko looked like he got shocked when the guest picked his phrase. He's so cute when he's high tension.

I clearly need to go to bed.

Why was there some random foreign girl on SukaJ?!

At least their reactions to the regular guest were great. Subs is such a perv.

The guest on SukaJ was this model Sheila.

OMG Yoko's hair! I thought it would be longer before we could see the new style. But it looks good. yay yay!

She started talking about major league baseball players and how she likes their butts. Yoko said that Ryo was the best endowed (he said Ryo was major league). Anyway, she really like Ohkura's butt but she couldn't remember his name. But later she read his name on his shirt and he was impressed.

In the investigation segment, Ryo was wearing glasses and was in regular clothes. Maru had his SukaJ stuff including the towel on his head. They looked at this company that writes love letters for people. Ryo and Maru wrote love letters. Ryo was really adorable in this segment. God - I don't want to be his fan! They were all so cute freaking out for the guy. Yoko's little squeals of delight were adorable!

Ahhh. They called Yoko Baby face and said he looked like a little brother. Even though Sheila said she would answer any question, she didn't answer Yoko's.

I was holding off on posting this, but it seems that this past week's SukaJ isn't going to be posted anywhere. And I didn't record it just in case. Oops.

Anyway - the guest was Suzuki Sarina who has been on Shindoi a lot. She is pretty funny and spent a lot of time yelling at the boys.

During the investigation segment, Yoko, Ohkura and Ryo went to look at how women who live alone can protect themselves. Ohkura looked really nice, he was in street clothes and had a REALLY nice jacket. Anyway, the boys freaked out about a lot of the new things to protect women. Ohkura's reaction to the dog bark machine was funny. The best was at one point they make Ryo go open the door to the bathroom. He jumped back as there was a doll of a man sitting in there. When he went to go move it, its arm moved and Ryo jumped and screamed again. They got the doll out into the front room, and Ohkura played with its hair. When they left, Yoko kissed it!

Apparently Suzuki Sarina can speak English well. So, they made her do a little English scene. This black guy came out, and when he leaned over his wig fell off. Sarina looked at him and said "Oh, skin." The guys had a good laugh over that. Then, they told Maru to go do it. So, he did. First, he walked up to the guy speaking English and did that manly handshake where the guys grab hands and end up bumping shoulders. Then, when the guy leaned over, Maru said "Wonderful! Potato Head!"

In other news, Maru and Yasu's drama was pretty good. Maru is a better actor, and he looks damn sexy smoking. I recorded that on my DVD recorder, so eventually I may try and figure out how to get it off. I have no idea if the computer I am using can handle ripping DVDs though, so no promises until after the first of the year.

Yoko is so cute and shy. I love how he is afraid of talking to his cast members and is sticking to Nino. And I love that he mentioned Aiba.

Speaking of Aiba, since Thursday was a holiday I watched the animal show he is on. He went to go see Shimuken - that lion he read to two years ago. ADORABLE! And his English was so cute. "Hey! Bird!" Aiba - its a chicken!

KinKi on MS was good. They both looked great and Tsuyoshi sounded fantastic. I loved how during the Mini-station Koichi had his hand up the entire time.

I forgot how nice the Font de Anniversery DVD is. And I forgot that Dots took off his shirt at the end. Mmmm

The guest was this girl Satou Tamao who was on Domoto Kyoudai one time, the one who has that weird game.

Random notes/ramblings )

At the very end they showed a little preview for Yasu and Maru's upcoming drama. Yasu has changed his hair - it is much darker. I don't know when he did that - it had to have been after Oct. 1 because I swear it was still blond then.

I don't have the energy to make a full report on SukaJ. The guest was that singer with the big afro - Papaya. They also showed clips of other guests. They showed the one where Yoko started shaking the picture to make the girl's hair fall so he could see her boob.

They guys had to draw sticks but Yoko didn't want to show his stick because he and Subs were going to have to make up a dance. Their dance was so random and gay. Leave it to the two of them to be more about getting laughs than really trying. When Papaya fixed it - it was just as random. I love how Yoko walked with his butt stuck out funny. They made Hina dance - and it was better but still funny. Not as random funny as Yoko and Subaru but still funny.

It was nice to see the different hairstyles. I had a bit of a shock though to see Yoko's latest hair style when they showed the preview of next week's episode. I haven't seen it on any K8 show, but I have seen it live. I don't know why it shocked me - maybe because it looked a little more spiky than he has had it at lives and such.

I still haven't watched last week's SukaJ yet. But I'm still catching up so it is OK. Anyway, tonight's episode was kinda blah. They talked about mail messages mostly. They all looked a little bored, especially Yoko.

More beach special. SMAP con report coming soon. I meant to start it today, but oops.
SukaJ - Beach SP 2 )

They showed parts of the FTON tour since they advertised the tour DVD. Next week's guest is Kahara - who I like. She made a great guest on Domoto Kyoudai and is a fantastic backup member on the show now.

20 July 2006 @ 12:40 am
Today is my 2 month anniversary of being in Japan. How time flies.

Anyway - SukaJ this week wasn't that great, but it wasn't bad. Some comedian was on, and so he told some stories about some other famous people. At the beginning, the girl who works in the shop was really cute.

Shindoi was a little better. I liked last week's Shindoi more (the romantic Tokyo date). In this episode Tsuyoshi and that model Chi-chan went on a night date. I love how he acts with her because he can be so mean and plain funny. They went to that cold bar that Ryo and Hina went to on SukaJ. They played games in a park - and Tsuyoshi picked on her some more. His character for the studio talk was Johnny - which was pretty funny (especially when they walked by a flower shop). Chi-chan looked like a clown on stilts in her overalls - I don't know why but her legs looked weird. Apparently Tsuyoshi likes "American Dogs" (corn dogs) and it was funny to see him drinking something from a brown paper bag - it made it seem like he was drinking beer or something on the street.

12 July 2006 @ 12:31 am
I watched Taichi and Massu's new drama. Those two are adorable - and even more so in the drama. The story is about some girls who form a cheerleading squad. Taichi is a teacher at the school. Massu has a crush on the main girl. Hilarity ensues. It's really not as bad as it sounds.

While I was waiting for SukaJ to start I watched the sports news. I found a Japanese baseball team to support - the Softbank Hawks. They have two amazing pitchers. I love how the Japanese player on the St. Louis Cardinals looks so tiny.

Anyway...

I should probably put the reports under a cut, huh? )

I know it has been a while since I said anything here. In the meantime I read a bunch of books - OK so I have only read 5 since coming to Japan.
1. The Da Vinci Code
2. The Subtle Knife
3. Spook
4. The Nanny Diaries
5. Dave Barry Does Japan

I should have read The Nanny Diaries years ago when Lauren told me to.

Just some quick notes about the show:

  • Subs really does love playing the perverted old man. Good lord. The beginning is good. And then the VTR start - oh my.

  • You-san is hilarious as always.

  • I love how Yoko isn't afraid of ghosts and stuff. And how he can always joke around with the others. Not that the obake segment or whatever was scary.

  • Yoko's hair looks so bad on TV but good in real life. Why?? He looks tired and angry and a bit like a dummy with his hair like that.

  • Yoko is such a bastard to the members (except Ryo) when they have to rank themselves. It's hilarious.

  • Yoko's explanation of his saying is hilarious. He speaks English! And writes it. Yes I am amused by little things.

I meant to post this earlier since I uploaded it like a week ago. Sorry. Here is the SukaJ episode from Feb. 28 where they play billiards and learn how to do those crane games. And I am not biased to Yoko and Tacchon at all, especially not when they look so sexy playing pool.
