Current mood: pissed off and sick

Hooray for a bad week, right?
It started bad on Monday, with crap from my boss. Let’s not go into that because it is more of the same. Tuesday actually wasn’t too bad, except for the fact that the lesson I had planned for the little kids totally flopped and I was left with you know, very little time to fix it before Wednesday.

Wednesday morning my first lesson was canceled. In my second lesson I started to feel really sick like I was going to throw up. I pushed through, and because I am a total idiot, I went to work as normal. I made it through my first two lessons, although at times I felt really weird (like I wasn’t in my body). My stomach didn’t hurt as much. Before the classes with the youngest kids, I was sitting in a chair trying to center myself AND think of something to do when my boss walked over. He asked if I was OK, so I said “no” for the first time ever. I ended up being helped down the stairs and I was put on a cot (built for preschool kids) for the rest of the day there. The principal and my boss came to check on me. Apparently I was really pale when I came down because the principal was freaking. I laid there until about 6:00 when the lessons ended and then I slowly sat up and waited for my boss to move his car. While I was laying there I found out that the teachers tell what they did with their classes, including what *I* did with their classes.

Anyway, by the time I got to my boss’s car my head was pounding, I was shaking and I kept seeing spots. It was 6:20. He looks at me and says “are you OK to teach the night classes?” I have 40 minutes to get there, no time to notify them really, so I say yes. That was hard. I kept feeling like I was going to pass out while I was teaching and it was hard not to fall over and vomit. Then my boss forced me to eat, so I made him take me to some place where I could have French fries (I needed the starch) and a salad (I needed the green vegetables). He kept saying “hot soup hot soup” like I don’t know what my body needs. Oh, and no one could believe I didn’t have a fever (I rarely get fevers. And can someone tell me why Japanese people get fevers all the time?)

Thursday I felt a little better but not too much. I pushed through all of my lessons because one was observed. That was interesting. The parents just sat in the back and talked almost the entire time. What’s the point in coming to watch your kids if all you are going to do is chat and distract everyone? I took a bunch of pain medicine but it didn’t work.

Friday I was feeling a little better, and I had dinner with Annie which made me feel better too. I watched the K8 PV and had a good laugh.

Saturday was a pretty good day. Up until the night. I still had a mild headache, but the pain got worse. And I couldn’t sleep last night.

So what made Saturday suck? The news that they checked all tickets for the first day of the Yoko solo con. My ticket isn’t in my name. Thus, I probably can’t go. Never mind that my friend got the ticket for me. Never mind that I paid for it. Never mind that she is going to another Johnny’s concert AT THE SAME TIME. We’ll see what happens – she is going to call the company and check. But more than likely, it’ll be a no-go.
